About a month to go, is anyone else doing this? I seem to have got myself on the superfast 42 footer 'Playing FTSE'
Any hints or advice?!

I presume this is your first time?
As a 4 time competitor I would advise that you are about to have the most fun thats possible with your trousers on! Make sure you can row, swim, navigate, cope with 3 am running, survive on cup-a-soup and know a sheet from a painter. Most of all, don't forget to pack your sense of humour and any seasickness cures you fancy. The wrist bands worked for me as well as sleeping lashed to the deck. Below decks in poor weather is no place for a landlubber!
I'm very jealous! Give my regards to MacTavishes Kitchen.

Dan,
Seeing as Playing FTSE has lead from start to finish the last 2 years, how about running really slowly to give some of the other teams a chance.
So are you running with Gary or Simon?
Thanks Chris - Im well aware of the boats pedigree!! and im also fairly certain that running slowly isnt an option!
Im running with Matt Reedy whos fit and raring to go. My greatest fear is the Jura run in the dark and horrible weather.
Just make sure you are behind another team coming off the Paps. As they go through the scree, they will strike sparks off the Gneiss, showing the route very nicely!
Personally, I would be scared of Goatfell after a rumbustious rounding of the Mull, followed by a becalming on the last leg to Troon requiring y'all to row. It happened to me and I was hosed!
