no but neither was it or the helicopter filming the airports, last I heard they were talking upwards of 15,000ft being the problem area.Did it have a jet engine?
Think it's only a problem for jet engines though as it gets sucked in and clogs the engines
I think you are right in the main but the dust will still clog up air filters and carberettas etc on prop planes.
I did hear that they have sent one prop plane up to fly into the edge of the cloud to collect data.
I expect they could put on a low level route for you Al!
