my garmin had it at 8.70miles,must have found a shorter route

Does anyone know if any entertainments etc are put on at this event for families? I'm trying to 'sell' the idea of a detour via Blaenau Ffestiniog on the way home from a family holiday in Anglesey.

Thanks lowden, I'd already seen that website. I know it says there is entertainment, but do you know what that's likely to consist of? Not having been to something like this before, I need a bit more info to determine whether it's likely to keep my 8- & 5-yr olds (and Mrs PJL) happy for the day. Cheers

PJL I have no idea what the entertainment will be although at a guess id go for a welsh band if some kind. I've registered, really looking forward to this race as Blaenau is where my family originates from. It's worth a bash I'm taking my kid and my partner will be in tow also

There was definately a Bouncy castle/slide thingy and a climbing wall last year, and a band as I recall. It all depends on the weather in Blaenau! last year was hot and sunny which is very rare in them parts!!
