One that has single

handedly

saved peoples lives, one that has put my own life in danger to save that of another. And in being a nurse i clearly don't do it for the money, yet i earn a good wage. Is is enough for what i do? Nowhere near. Do i begrudge what the consultants i work with earn - not at all.
Do i begrudge funding people who can't be arsed to work - Yes
Do i begrudge the possibility of only earning 15% more than the lowest paid worker - yes!

i don't see why i have upset you. i don't think i have said anything against nurses, in fact the opposite. and no, i don't think you earn enough, but why should consultants earn massively more than you? this is my point. you both do and perform a brilliant service but could one do without the other?

now back down to earth, why do you insist on being greedy? why do you feel the need to earn more than your neighbour? everything is relevant and to be honest you wouldn't earn 15% more than the lowest, that would be the consultant. you would be in between. just think about this. if everybody lived with the 15% mark then there would be over priced houses and your children and grandchildren would be able to get on the housing ladder. no more massive gas and electric bills.

no to work fare. it would be like those dark days of toff rule in the 80's when those nice little people from the conservative party did away with all the apprenticeships and replaced them with youth opp schemes. managers replaced well paid jobs with kids working for £30 a week.

i can see it now... street cleaners, hospital cleaners, gardeners ect all loose their jobs to be replaced by the unemployed. the only people who would benefit from this are the employers who would get work on the cheap.

also i believe people have the RIGHT to refuse work that doesn't pay a living wage. it is morally wrong for someone to work a 40 hour week and after paying gas, electric, council tax and travel to and from work to have nothing left to enjoy himself in his wage. the bare minimum wage should be no less than £15 an hour.

a fail proof way of ridding poverty is for the top earners not allowed to earn more than 15% than the lowest, straight across the board. get rid of the spongers in Buckingham palace and house the homeless there.

doctors, surgeons, opticians and dentist would ALL RETURN to the NHS and private health service would be outlawed. the idle class and filthy rich would have their bank accounts turned over to the state. no one would be allowed to have a personal wealth of more than £50,000.

and no one would be on the dole either so no scroungers. It could work couldn't it?

I'm trying to think what I'd like to do if I were paid £15 an hour no matter what job I had, or how hard I worked. I'd probably be a philosopher. "How's the philosophy coming on Noel?" "I'm still thinking about it, can I have another doghnut please?" Ooops, there's my greediness again.
