Thats two jobs? and you're going to pay them a junior wage?
Come on Inov8, have a look at the Drum, Creative Review etc and see what wages you should be paying a designer!
PEOPLE HAVE GOT DESIGN GRADS OVER A BARREL! NO JOB WITHOUT EXPERIENCE OR LOW WAGES UNTILL EXPERIENCE IS GAINED!
The design weekly recently published a survey of wages for different disciplines in the different areas of the country. I'll try to find it.
14k does sound low.I would think around the 18k would be a little more appropriate.
from experience I've found you get monkeys for peanuts...unless your lucky and find someone that will flourish!

the other problem you get is you do get some one to work for this low wage( The same I started on in 1985!) and once they have the experience they leave to go work for some one else meaning you have just lost an investment of all the money spent on training etc.
true! you've got to look after the good people.
its also very difficult to get rid of people these days (warnings, keeping diary's etc).
I agree with you, but maybe someone will just be glad of a job?
