    OMM Ultra 15L pack Query

    Can anyone who owns one tell me if I can get a standard bike bottle into the hip (belt) pockets of the Ultra 15L? i.e. not just the OMM narrower bottle.

    Hi Duncan

    Yeah they fit no problem. I use the large size SIS bottles and they fit without any issues. The pockets aren't deep but they have an elastic cord above each pocket which keeps the bottles secure.

    Not on the belt pockets. The mesh pockets on the bottom of the bag is yes.

    Hmm, I am confused now. I thought it had some easily accessible diagonal bottle pockets somewhere near the join of the belt and the sack. Are the pockets which you can fit bottles in easy to access while on the go, or do you need very flexible joints to do this?

    I realise there additional pockets around the side of the belt (or one zip one mesh) which are not bottle shaped and are keys and food type pockets.

    I don't think there are any hip pockets on the ultra 15.
    you need to buy the Igamy bottle holders which can be attached to the shoulder or hip straps, these only take the slim OMM bottles

    It is the mesh pocket shown to the right of the ski on this image that I am talking about. Does it take a standard bottle and how easy is it to get the bottle out and in again on the move?

    There are hip pockets on the ultra 15, one zipped, the other elasticated. Very comfy sac it is too, tend to use a bladder rather than bottles though I'm afraid.

    Sorry, got the wrong end of the stick there, Thought you meant right on the hip like some of the raidlight bags. The mesh ones on the ultra are actually on the bag. Got no idea if they're easily accessible just tried one on in pete blands the once, a bit bulky for what I wanted. Liked the last drop better

    @duncan_harris
    Just passing through, looking for info about the 15L "optional leanweight compressor". I don't have the 15L (yet), but may be able to clear up a little of the confusion, because I think everyone answered 'correctly' :

    Your question is about the 2 mesh pockets on the pack. They can hold bottles, but aren't specifically for that. A 'standard' bottle should fit. Don't know about ease of access

    You can buy an attachable bottle holder called "i-Gamy". It fits at either hip or either shoulder harness (so 4 max, for 15L). Think it only fits the (narrower) OMM bottles

    Your picture (with the skis) is of the 20L. Those pockets are for bottles and are 'diagonal'

    Re: OMM Ultra 15L pack Query

    Well I actually grabbed that picture from the 15L page on the OMM site I think. I did order the 15L OMM sack, but decided the pockets did not hold bottles sufficiently securely, so I returned it. I have now ended up with a GoLite Rush sack and am happy.
