I try and tape my feet up with zinc oxide tape, I put the tape on the night before after a shower and the stuff still comes off during a race!!

I normally use Boots own Zinc Oxide tape maybe thats why it's not working?
I see Pete Blands sells MUELLER ZINC OXIDE TAPE, is this stuff any good?
I need to get something that will stick for Buttermere next weekend.

Best of luck on Saturday
Cheers for that I've just ordered the Ultra tape ankle strapping tape, 2.5cm which should be ok on the balls of my feets, £2 and free delivery!!
Hope this does the trick.
Thanks
Cheers for that Epocian, you're a hive of info.
Ordered some tape myself. my blisters are killing me.
What are you guys doing after the event? (the blistering)
We (army lads) used to thread cotton soaked in surgical spirit through the blister and let them drain for as long as possible, overnight is the best. Then pull the cotton out and, hey presto you can run again! This even worked on some nasty blisters across a chaps kidneys, he didn't fit his webbing correctly.
Some say wear two pairs of socks but this just makes it worse as the friction seems to double.
Personally, wearing combat boots since the tender age of 14 till my twenties, then steel toe caps since, seems to have made my feet almost indestructable. If you get the right shoe/sock combination you should be ok.
Good luck
I have no skin on the bottom of my feet due to cutting the big flap of skin off.
Just got them padded up with a dressing and joads of savlon, getting easier to walk on.
Strapped up tomorrow for mearley clough.

If your foot is raw skin have you tried Compeed?
Have got some compeed blister plasters but not big enough to cover the area.
Do they do something bigger epocian?
Medium size is advertised as 4.2 x 6.8cm - never seen a large size but
there is a Compeed Liquid Bandage which comes in a bottle so presumably you can paint it over a large blister.
