If they're not causing you any pain and are sealed I'd leave them be although if sedge starts growing out of your head start to worry. If you want to deal with them I'd recommend the Marathon des Sables approach as it doesn't leave any skin for more crap to get under and fester. Using a sterilized scalpel blade cut away all of the dead skin right back to the living stuff (you can tell when you've hit the spot cause it bleeds and hurts). Get some iodine paint/betadine and liberally apply to the raw skin. Swear a lot and leave to air dry. 12 hours later skin will be healed and ready to run on again.
When i read this i was almost throwing up, until i went for the video and i have never seen anything as sick as that blister in all my life!

Yeah... but unless you're doing something really long you're not likely to get anything really bad.

    Blisters

I have a spectacular collection of blisters after yesterdays trog.So should I

    1- Leave them?
    2- Pop them?
3- What do I do with a blood blister?

I hasten to add these are all on my feet

I use scissors and nip them at the end...and then let them dry out.

Or....if i cant resist i get rid of the entire skin that the blister 'took out'.

Dont know if its the best thing to do really, because nearly everytime i race i get a blister at the end of each top (next to the big toe).

If they don't cause you any problems I'd leave them for a few days to allow the new skin underneath to grow. I had 12!!! all around my toes after the rigby. I left them and did the 1.5 legs of the PB the week after.

They caused me any grief though.

Blisters are natures way of protecting the body. Once you cut/pierce them infection can get in.

Leave them and let nature take its course

    I tried them....still got blisters.

The hilly off-road socks seem to be best really.
