    My new bike!

Can't seem to post actual pics of my bike for some reason so had to get a catalogue pic from the net.
Current upgrades over standard are easton ec90 bars, hope xc2 brakes with braided hoses, hope seat clamp, crank brothers egg beater pedals. New seat and post to come soon. Can't decide which post - easton ec 90, thomson elite, hope eternity?
Very pleased with the bike, rides great and loves singletrack. Gonna start looking to do some offroad tri's in the near future.

Ahhhhhh - disc brakes! What a feeling it must be to have the ability to stop when you actually want to!! Nice looking machine.

Upgrades are almost complete. Got a Thomson seat post and selle italia slr xc saddle on now. Will get pics of my actual bike up soon.
Thinking of going 1x9 on the gearing. Anyone got any experience of this?

Yeah she is rather nice. It was a toss up between a hardtail xc or a road bike.
The road bike would have been:

A part of me wishes i'd gone with the road bike. There's something special about road cycling and I'll always love it. Think it's something to do the the history and great names and characters the sport has seen.

No I would have gone road bike, or you could have got a decent cross bike, which would have enabled you to do a bit of both
