    Intercounties North Wales

OK I've resisted starting a thread until now but I feel I should lay down a few ground rules.
If you are competing in the Intercounties race your team manager will have already entered you. No entries on the day!!!
You can still enter on the day as an individual (still counts for the McCain's Mountain Challenges as do the Intercounties entrants).
NO DOGS are allowed anywhere near the race (this is from a working farm- lambs etc etc.)
Maps etc are on FRA website front page.
Camping in the village might get a bit tight (i.e. please book in next day or two.)
I'm looking forward to a great race - I hope you are too!!

Results will be available very quickly - any other queries please post here or e-mail me or give me a call....

Looking forward to the event. I've been selected for N Wales.
Is the event also the 4th counter in the WFRA N. Wales series?? If so, will scores still be calculated from a competitors finishing position/time even though I'm representing my county and not wearing my club vest??

    Thanks.

This is a counter on the WFRA N Wales series and you will still score points even if you wear a N Wales vest!

Does everyone get a bag of frozen chips upon finishing?

Can't see that happening but the chips are good (and cheap) at the Goldie half a mile away.

I find it strange that this race is a counter in the N Wales series. People relying on this to be there 6th counter will be at a disadvantage. The race will also be obviously well attented,so why not give a smaller race the series status to boost numbers ? Seems very odd to me.
Ran the route last week, besides the first and last half mile and it's very dry and pretty fast. All runnable pretty much with some fast descents. Should be a good event.

Ill be there wearing my Essex vest. We normally have a good battle with Middlesex for the lowlanders bragging rights. I feel very honoured to run for my county. See you all there.
