IS it possible to drive all the way through from Windgather to Cat and Fiddle via derbyshire bridge? Not sure if the road is accessible for cars all the way.
Thanks

hi novice you can drive that way but you will have to go back another way as it is one way. Also be aware that the buxton/ long hill road is closed at the moment.
the only days you cant drive thru goyt is on sundays
If you mean the old 'turnpike' road from Buxton to Derbyshire Bridge, I doubt you'd get a normal car that way.
We did it during a day-out a few years ago (the present alignment came into being in the 1750's)
You can bypass the 'Blind Jack Metcalfe' turnpike, if the entry-exit points aren't covered by the road-closure you mention
(don't blame me if you get stuck/damage your car though on either of the roads!)
We also drove 'Tenterhill' (can't remember the 'correct name at the moment) on that trip, but that's now apparantly 'TRO'd
Generally to be found plodding along with 'www.ackworthroadrunnersandac.co.uk'
