    Windermere Marathon

Windermere Marathon is on 20th May.
It hasnt been held for 20 odd years so I thought I'd do it in case it disappears from the calendar for another 20.

    Any more takers?

It was watching a work mate finish the Windermere marathon years ago which got me into running. I seem to remember it used to be late on in the year, possibly November. My first race was the Windermere to Kendal 10 miler the following March, another race which disappeared from the calendar years ago. Anyone else remember it?

I'll be doing it. I entered almost as soon as the info came out, think I'm number nine.

Haven't done a marathon for about 12 years but am keen to support my local one.

    Anyone else doing it??

Remember it well. It was one of my first races back in 1987 - run in a blizzard with slush on the road and cars spraying us as they passed. Not much fun!

6 seconds under the hour? That would have been an impressive Marathon time!!!
