Of course it doesn't show races that allow juniors in the senior race - e.g. juniors from the age of 12 can run in Wicken Hill Whizz (June 18th) and similar 3 mile races, which won't be on the list.
Very useful, though.

Browsing the AS, BS, CS category races would give a reasonably short list for juniors to choose races, using the junior distance restrictions from Rule 10 for Competition to check that their age group is eligible.
Going downhill fast - until I fell over
As I've said before on here, younger fell runners should not be in a hurry to do M and L races. But by all means do them as recces for training and experience.
Some races that are slighly over S - 6-8 miles say, may well let younger runners in to the race, subject to their experience, so don't be frightened to ask, but remember that would be down to the organiser and don't take umbrage if it's a no.
The "FRA Rules for Competition" state that Under 18s MUST NOT compete in races that are longer than 6 miles. Organisers who obtain their race Permit/insurance through the FRA have to comply with the Rules and are not allowed to accept underage competitors. So if you are Under 18 please don't ask.
