Congrat Craig & Mick, what i good time i had out there on leg 3, both were cheery and enjoying the day. The pictures are very good, you can see the enjoyment in the runners faces.

    What a perfect day.
Thanks Ian. Great to see you and Nicky at start. What a great result for the DPFR - 7/7 completing.

A huge thanks to Julie G for organsing my attempt (and supporting 2 legs) and to the really special people who helped me get round - Julian B, Andy G and Sarah R (4 legs), Neil S, Ian H, Yiannis (Base-Jump off Blencathra plus support on Leg 3), Emma, Bob S (3 legs), Nicky J (2 legs), Barbara H (2 legs), Ken J (road support) and my wife Elizabeth (road support).

I got a real lift from the encouragement of what appeared to be dozens of DPFR (and other) supporters. Thank you.

Easily the best day of my life.

Great pics John. Good effort everyone.

I'm looking forward to supporting Dave Bish on Leg 3 this Saturday.

Scott, top tip: even though there was a rope up and ready for a climb up broad stand to Scafell, Dennis took us down to the right, then up Lords Rake then west wall traverse. I'm sure it was quicker even though its longer. I think we leap frogged several folk by doing that.
Biriani for endurance, pathia for speed.

Slightly off topic but this seems to be the thread for all the BG's starting on the 18th of June.

Due to arriving up on schedule in Wasdale my support wasn't quite ready. A lovely chap out doing support for another of the attempts out on the hill was a great help in getting me fed and watered. In return for his hospitality I stole his blue cup which has now been round legs 4 & 5.

If anyone knows who this chap is please let me know so I can return his mug.

    Cheers,
    Ian S

Very modest Ian... slightly up on schedule you certainly were.

Considering how fast that blue cup got round (total of 18.55) I think we ought to know what was in it !!!
