Preseli Bluestone

Just read about the Preseli Bluestone Fell Race on 17th July. Anyone done this? Apparently this is its second year.

I remember it being quite expensive, £15 I think last year. You won't get many people travelling all the way down to Pembs to pay 15 quid for a race.

It's £10 on the day (£7 pre-entry), a little steep but still less than most road races. I'm going to be on holiday in the area - the main consideration is persuading my non-running half.

Nice hills though - I did the Beca race last August and it was great on the tops - the lead up to get there was a bit of a slog though as this was my first post fractured shoulder blade race.

Very nice race that. Fast, but completely off road. Beautiful scenery.
