    Great Cafes for post run

Just a thought , but i frequent (makes me sound a right perve) some cafes i love for a post run refuel. I'm not advertising , just feel these can be recommended as good honest cafes/caffs. Not in any order.
The Lido cafe Hathersage Derbyshire Great cafe
The Wearview Diner nr Toft Hill Co Durham Great cafe , good views
Name uncertain but only one Castleton North York moors reg used by cyclists
The Pink Geranium Kirkby Stephen , Cumbria Good for Mallerstang valley/ Eden Valley

The log cabin place at Barley's good for post Pendle re-fuelling.
I also like the Pen-y-ghent cafe, one reason are the sizes, small cup or pint mug.

Petes Eats in Llanberis (check out the Big Jim) is good for a scoff.
Possibly the worst would be the mobile at Hayfield reservoir car park. Instant powdered tea - what are they thinking

Great stuff, name and shame too lol. Well Lordstones Cafe at the bottom of Cringle Moor is really handy BUT service is down right rude at times. Although once he did serve me when they'd shut, i must've looked desperate, lol, i was !!

Bernie's in Ingleton is mint - pint mugs of God's own tea.

Pete's eats is legendary of course.

Wilf's in Staveley (which is now next to Hawkshead brewery - a little corner of heaven which woud be complete if Pete Bland relocated there).

    ST

PS - The Apple Pie in Ambleside would make the list as the food is lovely but it is stupidly overpriced.

i had a cuppa tea for 90p at the cafe opposite the chippie in Hawes today not bad? and a lemon tart that I swear was made with beef dripping - after cycling all day it went down a treat! the tart was £1.75 for the record

Nah. In Ingleton its gotta be Inglesports. Their cavers breakfast is to die for. Agree with Lordstones it's a good place generally. If you're up in Scotland try Corrieri's in Causewayhead or the Real Food Cafe in Tyndrum

A real obscure one for most of you out there..........Spring Slade Lodge in the heart of Cannock Chase. They're always really friendly and there's a brill choice of stuff: everything from bacon butties to flapjack to Sunday roast (in the sit inside bit). Sunday morming runs from there are always that much better!!
