    Coniston show

Does anyone know the route for this race? Is it fairly set or is it to the top and back anyway you like? Thanks.

It is a set routo to the fell gate where there is a checkpoint and then it is free for all. I'd recommend heading for a little boardwalk across the bog then find a way through to the bracken. From there head up the road to the first quarry on your right then cross over the stream before heading on up, and up, and up.
Fitness can't be stored. It must be earned over and over, indefinitely.

Weathers looking a bit better now. They've downgraded Sunday afternoon to 'white cloud', 17mph SWesterley. Good news.

Well from what I'm hearing there's going to be some tales of woe after this race

Yep, the first five (I think) got lost and came in late. Difficult conditions and a course that all looks the same in the cloud. Not too many features to go off. When I left, the local MP was still unaccounted for. Does anyone know if he got back safely?
