    Pendle Monster

Mentioned this a few times back in Feb on my Care to Join Me thread, but got injured on HPM and left it to gather dust. I'm still finding my way back (work and illness getting inthe way) & want to give my recovery a bit of focus, so am pencilling an attempt at this in September. Saturday 11th to be precise.

Anyone else fancy it? Got a couple of nibbles off twitter.

It's a mash-up of Pendle Cloughs/Full Tour of Pendle CPs, making one 27mi/7000ft (approx) route.

27mi? 7000ft? 1 hill? We'll be coming of the hill and getting packed into the strait-jackets!:w00t:

Let me know, or PM for more details.

Not too sure. Reckon anything between 5-8hrs? My best FTOP time is 3h30, but that was last year, and after a decent few months training. My first run in the hills for a couple of months was on Sunday (due to injury and work), and am viewing this just as a measure of my training progress, rather than a target in itself.

Basically, as long as I can get round it, I'll be happy.

Are you a bit quick then?

No no... just wondering! Was guessing around 6, so what you're suggesting sounds good. I reckon you can count me in. Good Rab/OMM/BGR training.

Softie's monster is back and possibly about to be slain!

I might have had a run round but I'm doing Yorkshireman Marathon next day

So... er.... what is this Pendle Monster then? I've been through that 'care to join me' thread but still no wiser and as a bit of a Pendleologist myself I'm intrigued.

Any chance of a quick rundown on the route SS?
