    Hyde Park Triathlon

I've been watching most of it this afternoon, (interspersed with 'Le Tour') & what an incredible effort by Alistair Brownlee.

He was first out of the water, then distanced, & in the 3rd bunch during the bike-ride.
Come the transition to the run, he got back up to the leaders within (was it?) 2KM

Then the sad sight of him collapsing at the finish line, & having to be carried away.

    Jonathon was 2nd

Doesn't appear to be any news about Alistair on the BBC, or other sites yet

(Brit) 2008 World Champion Helen Jenkins was 3rd in the Womens event:thumbup:

BBC are quoting someone from British Triathlon saying he is fine but exhausted. Looked like he just ran himself into the deck on a hot day.

Watched this too, he was knackered, all of them including the German guy who was eventually third ran themselves into the ground well done to Jonathan.

Sad sight that. He paid the price for sprinting to the front after transition, rather than gradually working his way there. No doubt that he is still no1 in the world though.
