    Camping at Dollar

    Does anyone know any cheap campsites up at Dollar.. or nearby ?

    http://www.riverside-caravanpark.co.uk/ Stopped here the last 2 years now for the Alva race descent site generally quiet only half a mile out of Dollar.
    I ran and ran until my Muscles burned and my veins pumped battery acid, ....And then i ran some more.

    We found this one... but £19.50 per night plus extra for each adult and child? I don't want gold-plated showers!

    The route for this looks great, there's a ruined castle and some falls in Dollar Glen too. Might keep it in mind for next year it'd be a nice drive up the scenic route to Edinburgh to get there.

    The Castle still stands high it is a very nice place, the Ochills are very similar to the Howgills.

    The Race was won by Rob Hope in a time of 1.12.48 with Prasad Prasad 2nd in 1.12.58. 3rd (1st MV/40) Lloyd Taggart 1.13.36 and 4th Tim Davies 1.13.36.
    There were over 270 competitors.
