I'm planning an attempt at the JNC and at 50 ive got to complete in under 12 hours.
To stand any chance, i'm going to have get the route and lines spot on.
Can any one offer any advice on lines/route choices etc.

Date is set for 4th September. To give me best chance though I am going to be flexible on the date. Ive been extending long runs over the last 6 weeks. Went across section one solo in bad weather 2 weeks ago and managed to get across to Kirkstone pass in 2hrs 40.
Im up to the lakes again this weekend and will be out early - Saturday and Sunday. will you be about?

Am in Scotland at the moment giving my Cup Team some secret training for Dollar
All set for a 7am start this Saturday ( 4th September) Give me a shout if you see me out on the fells. My last training run was last weekend, a leisurely 8hrs 45mins across the .Welsh 3,000s
Fitness is at a good level, im just hoping I can run fast enough to get across in 11 hours 59mins 59 seconds.... Im raising money for Patterdale Mountain Rescue

I have to wait until May next year but have receeed bits already - would join you next weekend but have promised to take a car load of children to an overnight orienteering event
