Sorry OneHill no Nerd status for you.
Nobody who sits on the ragged cutting edge of fashion as you do by wearing Mohair whilst running on the fells can ever be called a Nerd - fashionista, maybe:thumbup:
Homophone is the closest thing to what i was on about but homophones are spelt differently apparrently; So, sew for example.
It's not had an easy birth this thread has it? I guess it could be used to impart titbits of useless nerdy information such as Bassenthwaite being the only lake in the Lake District, or that the Cashew nut is the most labour intensive to obtain.
Luke Appleyard (Wharfedale)- quick on the dissent
Or that a peanut is not a nut but a legume? (Does that mean people have a legume allergy?)
Btw, not necessarily spelt differently, just sounding the same eg row of houses, row in a boat.

Spelt, a grain similar to wheat, not a nut or legume.
I always prefer the Saxon strong participles, he said ryely.
This could last for ever, Mr B.
Should there be a forum nerds' (note the plural Saxon genitive) ladder? We could prop it up against the table

"Bimey O Rielly" Mist a bee said dryly.
Oh no! Rhyming homophone.
I go! My time to go home.
Does that scan reasonably? I'm out of practice.
Thyme four bed.
