    Wasdale Horseshoe

Just back from camping with the family at Nether Wasdale, & I ran round the Wasdale skyline on Thursday. Even though the clag was down all day it was still a great day out. Campsite, Buckbarrow, Seatallan, Haycock, Steeple, Scoat Fell, Pillar, Kirk Fell, Great Gable, Great End, Scafell Pike, Scafell, Illgill Head, Whin Rigg & back to the campsite. It took me 8:32 for 21.5 miles & 10500 feet, which may sound slow, but there was a lot of hard ground to cover. Don't think I'm quite ready for a BGR though!

Your average speed: 2.52mph. Required BGR average speed 66/24=2.75mph. However, the terraine of the Wasdale skyline is probably more rugged and slower than the average for th BGR, so you must be on the right lines!
