I guess that you are referring to the Dunnerdale Fell Race. The Caw Fell Race also S & F's at Broughton Mills.
For Dunnerdale, if you look in Wainwright's "Outlying Fells of Lakeland", he depicts a circular walk from BM. The race is that walk in reverse - far more accurate than what I could describe.
Alternatively, have a look at the Black Combe Runners website, it is one of their races.

The Broughton Mills race is not the Dunnerdale or Caw races that also start from here. This is a separate race run on the Broughton Mills fun day. Start at the Blacksmith's Arms, run up the road over the bridge then up the path that you descend on the Dunnerdale, through the gate but you then head more or less directly for Stickle Pike, will be flagged. Stickle Pike is the top and CP on the Dunnerdale after Kiln Bank cross. Once at the top just bomb down the way you came. It's a cracking wee fast course with a steep wee climb and descent off Stickle Pike.

They used to run Caw at this time of year but people kept getting lost in the bracken. I quite enjoyed it myself being almost 6'3" as the bracken up there can be six footish in places. I'd done the race about 6 or 7 times in succession but then it was moved to May so I had no advantage! Also I couldn't get Wednesdays off anymore>

Are you sure? the info says: U10/U12/U14/U16/U18 races.

I thought seniors had to be listed to be 'on'...

Senior categories aren't usually listed, either on-line or in the handbook.
    I see, very well.

Hope you're making progress with them, given all the exercise and effort you're putting in.
Not too sure what you mean there , i've been off the fells for 7wks and off running totally for 5wks so it isn't like i'm not trying.

Great part of the world yes, but the wise thing to do would be to stay off terrain like that for a bit.
