Help! Bed wanted for the night

Preferably somewhere just off the top of the M6 on Tuesday 17 August.

I'm heading from Bath to Fife (Scotland for the ignorant) Wednesday 18th - it's going to be a drive of 450 miles, on my own, so quite a hike to do in one day. It would be good to break it up, so I'm wondering if some kind soul will put me up for a night - happy to exchange a bed for some beer and a meal in local pub. I'm housetrained!

Lets see how the power of the Forum works in this case!

Bit of a wuss if you ask me BW

A few weeks ago, I set off in the morning at 6:00am from Blackburn for a appointment in Fort William and arrived at 11:00am. I then went via Kintail and Torridon to Gairloch for a 4:30 appointment.
I finished up at the Ben Loyal Hotel in Tongue at 8:15pm approx.

596 miles - weather was fantastic and I stopped at some great points on the way - favourite was above Invergarry, looking west over Loch Garry and the sunset from the Hotel at the end of the day.

I hope that you get sorted.

But you haven't seen my motor.... not quite the Batmobile, rather a S reg nissan primera with 150,000 miles on the clock and two bikes on the roof Coming back from a sailing trip last month we did Kyle of Lochalsh to Nottingham in a little over 7hrs, but that was four sharing the driving in a huge 4x4 thingy!

Nice job if it takes you to such a great part of the world

If you fancy breaking your journey up by staying in some places in between....I'm sure we could find a bed in North Manchester for you for one night.

Cheers, but change of plan - gf's mum having operation so we are heading to her bedside instead of Scotland - but as she lives in the middle of Snowdonia it's not all bad!
