    Hi-Tec V-Lite Infinity review

Much to my surprise the first off road running shoe from Hi-Tec is quite good!
We got some samples to try out at work. Went for a quick run through some woods, mud, industrial estates and jumped in puddles. They held up very well considering and drained well. But would you buy a Hi-Tec for the same price as an Inov8 or Salomon? Possibly not. Maybe better as a training shoe before a big event.
    Very light and breathable though.

    Review here
(yes I work for a retailer, but that doesn't mean I have to say nice things!)

Nice review. But the big questions are... How much do they weigh? I believe size 8 is the standard. And how much will they cost?

    Worried, Inov-8 insider?

Just weighed a size 8 on the scales. Comes top 284g
    They cost from £85.45
I'll probably wear the Hi-Tec V-Lite Infinity as my training shoes, then use Inov-8 for my next race.

Personally I think it's good that there is more choice( I keep saying that) it's a bit like the " fashion" and mainstream brands getting on the barefoot bandwagon.
How long these brands will remain in this area of the Market before they move onto the next fad willbe interesting.

I wonder if any of them know about fellrunning ?
Would any know the little " dinks or trods" on race routes.
Or done the Bob Graham/Ramsey round ?

Maybe they don't have to maybe they are just selling shoes.

Worried....hhhmmmm I think we will carry on doing what we do which is making products for the sports that we do in the environments we love.

Hmmm fad followers, bandwagon jumping, just selling shoes
Where does your upcoming range of roadshoes fit into this or your 190 leisure shoes - are you not becoming followers of the mains brands rather than trend setters?

You will be castigating the main brands for lending their name to promtional races and events next

Actually, I quite liked them but for the pice tag and the tongue. If they were a bit cheaper, they'd be a good trainer before switching to something more expensive (like Inov-8 or Salomon) for a race. Similarly I liked the Inov-8 Evoskin for the whole barefoot experience. So while there are more dominant brands already in both niches, that doesn't mean that people won't buy them or even prefer them for some features.
