    The 'missing runner' never actually started the race. She was somehow checked in at Marsden when she was actually many miles away after deciding not to run on the day.

    I must remember to slow down when I see a photographer - especially if it's a little overcast - there's a definite speed-blur on some of these.

    Grouse and Margarine look to be neck and neck!!!

    Nice photos Luvshack - surprised how cheerful some of the (other) runners looked.

    Maybe we need a photographer at Crowden brook next year... but hopefully you'll be running?
    First run then beer. If no run then proceed directly to beer.

    But it's going to be nice weather next year, and the brook will be almost dry so the photos won't be very interesting.

    Tanky's Trog is ON!

    After Much prompting from Marvin we now have an official thread

    Copy of my earlier post to start it off. Still a few bits of info on the other thread but you can look it up or ask again.



    Ok it's now official.

    MARSDEN TO EDALE FELL RACE
    Category BL ~ 21.5 miles 3750 ft ascent
    SUNDAY 7th DECEMBER 2008 - START 09:00 hrs.
    All proceeds to Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team - Charity No. 50831
    Race numbers collected on the day.
    Entry list will be posted on Woodhead MRT, PFR&AC and DPFR web sites after closing date.
    If postal confirmation required include a SAE with entry.
    Equipment to be carried (Treat as Category "A" race) :-
    Due to the time of year and the terrain you should arrive with wind proof full body cover, other body cover appropriate to the weather conditions, Map and compass suitable for navigating the course, suitable footware for the terrain, whistle and emergency food.
    Don't skimp on gear - Hypothermia KILLS

    Full kit check before start and spot checks during and at the end.
    If the weather forecast demands, windproof WILL become waterproof.
    In the event of extreme weather conditions the status of the race will be posted on the above web sites

    Entry forms are now available on the Dark Peak Site

    Details will soon be available on WMRT site and the PFR&AC
