Ian Slater took over 100 great action pics, including the bog section for the men and the ladies on fast descent. I'll post them on the Rochdale Harriers website over the next week.
A taster is attached as a zip file.

I am hoping to run this on Wednesday. Never done it before.
I've had a look on OL 21 map to see if I could make out a possible route, but there doesn't apear to be any defined tracks apart from the Penine Bridleway at the bottom of the fell and the Penine Way at the top and then the Roman Road that runs between the two. Does the race use these, or is it totaly off on the open moorland along some long lost route only known to a few?
Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.
Yes it is on open moorland Flighty, there are no paths. All I know is that you run up the hill over rocks to the trig, across the top for a short while and back down again, sorry I'm not being very helpful am I? I did it many years ago but can't remember much about it. I might see you there or maybe come and cheer you on.
I found this, it might be useful.....
