    So do I - I look much better in b&w - suits my antique style of running!

    Really enjoyed the race, despite residual ankle strain. Great organisation and nice to have an opportunity to see some class sheep dog trialling as well.

    Has anyone any notes or comments about the Longsahw Sheep Dog Trials Fell race this saturday? Not done this one before.

    Yes I wish I had done it! the course was in superb condition and the weather perfect. alas I marshaled with Ken "Kinder K and D course setter" Jones at the bottom of the Plummet and then swept round with Filthy Rich, I will do this race next year as it suited me although the run to the finish looked hard.

    Yes Green Flash I did manage to find my way round although the deep bracken ?at the bottom the "plummet". I was being followed by someone from Lincoln who said.... I am sticking with you because of your local knowledge" Good one that as I had never been there in my life!
    Didnt enjoy the end but appreciated the marshall telling me it was all downhill to the end and that was at Padley by the ice cream van!!

    Longshaw returns this weekend and it's DP's Chairman Paul's 50th Birthday so wish him Happy Birthday if you know him....

    Longshaw Sheepdog Trials Fell Race, Saturday September 3rd, 11am
    5.5 miles, 650ft of ascent.
    Start from Longshaw Lodge GR 265 800.
    Pay £4 to enter field and the race is free!
    Records: Phil Winskill (2003) 38.53 L Lacon (2006) 46.27
