    Re: Pinhaw Moor

Well, lots of Forumites, including Bogtrotter, Stick, Pengy, Woger, Murky Cloud, Disco Stan, and a number of others, who's names escape me, as I've drunk a little too much grape juice.

Nice race, more trail than fell, but worth doing, despite the horrible, but short lived grind up the road onto the moor.

The first challenge was navigational, finding the bloody cricket club. After parking half way up the race route, I followed the sea of fluorescent yellow, and eventually found registration.

The start was also enlivened by Stick abandoning the race, and chasing the local fillies, instead (they may have been shrieking, but we all know it was really encouragement)

Oh, and no, not muddy and not wet.

It was good to see so many youngsters run (is that anybody under 65?), not least the Helm Hill raiding party, led by Tom Addison, who in the absence of a record breaking Bisto, romped home, in a commanding lead (I think; I was too far behind to see)

I know I was quite a way behind you but there was mud and it was a bit rainy. My socks and shoes need a good clean today!

Victoria Wilkinson broke the ladies record from 1991 and look to be very high up the field.

I am fairly sure it was Oxo not Bisto who broke the record last year

Yep, I've just picked up my shoes and they are a tad moist. You don't seem to notice it too much when you're running.
