I saw a Kindle last week. Although I'm with Graham in preferring the feel of the real thing I reckon one would be useful for travel

But it may affect the price if the seller cannot find a buyer.

Didn't a copy sell for over £200 on ebay? If so then the perceived market price is now dropping fast.

Agreed Graham but if a I'm away for a while it's much better to have a choice of books within a small cover, My daughter already has about 8 books on it.

...And again Graham you are correct nothing compares with a fine Claret or St Emilion

A second copy now on eBay. And more reasonably priced.

Neither looks reasonably priced to me! One has a starting price of £134 (inc carriage), the other is £162!

Well they aren't printing any more so a hard copy is better than a pension.

I keep my copy (signed by Bill) by my emergency fire-exit door.

It is only a matter of time before the print-on-demand merchants discover that there is copy online and suddenly there are many copies on the market at £70.00 each

    What about copyright?

And the value of the book is to own a copy of the original 1800 printed. Who would pay £70 for a rip off? Or even £7?
