South Manchester (Platt Fields) run #250 was overrun by over a dozen tourists from Warwick Uni AC today.

Given the size of the puddles they would have been better fielding their swimming team.

I thought I spotted Danbert at Heaton Park this morning during my warm-up.
He passed me jogging in the opposite direction and I only twigged after 10 seconds and he'd gone.
I then looked for him at the start and finish but couldn't spot him amongst the 400+ runners.
Anyway - the results suggest it was him I spotted.
Hi Danbert sorry I didn't stop for a chin-wag. I've not seen you for a while and I'm getting on a bit, face-recognition fading (Its always been iffy).

Did you take a short cut OB1? A fantastic time!
Yeah it looks like I only ran 4k doesn't it .
But no, genuine time, and it was the slightly longer alternative route today - avoiding the back-of-lakeside trail and all on tarmac.
I managed to bagsy the '1st Santa' prize too - a nice pack of Umbro freshen up duo (body spray and shower gel) - just off to try them out now.
New Year's Day double (Lyme Park 9:00 and Marple 10:30) on the horizon - maybe see you there? See Marple News page.

I am impressed OB1, keep it up! I am definitely doing two on New Year's Day and Lyme Park- Marple is one option.
If I don't break down before then, I will have done 55 parkruns in 2014.
In my 65th year, to November, I ran 101 - 56 parkruns and 45 others (5Ks, 10Ks, 10 miles, Half Marathons).
In 2014, I have run 97 so far.
The 100th is likely to be the club Christmas Handicaps on 20th December (if that counts).
If not, it will be Christmas Day Parkrun.
