    Tour de Helvellyn

Anyone doing this? - sounds like a great way of avoiding Xmas shopping.
Don't leave your empties on the hill!

Looks good! A possibility if I can get out of things down here.

Looks good, good spot. very tempted. Plotted out on the map, looks very runnable bar a few short sharp hills possibly.

    Nice pre xmas run.

    Tour de Helvellyn

I know someone has posted this link up elsewhere, but I thought it might as well go in its rightful place.

A 36-mile tour around Helvellyn, via Sticks Pass and Grizedale Tarn, starting in the eastern fells at Askham, on Saturday 18th December.

I thought it was worth a plug; there isn't much else going on around that time of year and, having entered, I don't want to be a lonely fool...

Why walk when you can run.

Sounds interesting! Planning to do Lakeland 100 next year, so shud be good training. Bit of a plodder though - will need all the time methinks!
    Will give them a call.

Good to have something long at this time of the year now that Round Rotherham has skipped forward 2 months.

Just hope I can make the cutoff!

Sounds excellent... thanks for the link. I think I'll be entering this, subject to the relevant clearance pass being obtained (notoriously dificult at that time of year) from my significantly better half.

I'll be doing my best to get fit for this. It will be a new challenge for me in this area in winter.

Like to have a go at this too but like Hank I require a pass for the day (or 2). Its that time of year when the other half would not expect to sign a release form and I'd be docile being dragged around the shops.
    Good training for the L100
