    Peris Horseshoe

going to recce this within the next week or two
    looks fairly straightforward
only slight worry is right at the start getting up through the quarry - is there a pretty obvious way up, or am I going to be wandering around in circles getting stuck under cliff faces?
where exactly on the top edge am I aiming to come out?

Start with the zig-zag path, up the inclines to the old buildings, run past them and follow old track that zig-zags its way up. Reach a tarmac lane, over a gate, right up short incline and follow a bearing as shown in attachment.

    perfect day on Wednesday
    mostly clear/sunny
bracing snow flurry between Y Lliwedd and Snowdon
took an iffy line off Glyder Fawr, but otherwise straightforward
8 hours out, approx 7 moving
would be absolute beast to race :w00t:
in a good way though

Does it not go the same way as The Paddy? I have not done the race but have recced it for training puposes and just followed the zig zags and then the incline all the way up to the open slopes of Elidir Fach.

That long incline with the flag covered conduits is out of bounds in the Peris where the twisting quarry track is compulsory (safety).
