    Thumbs up The Trunce is back...

    Just a reminder to all you runners that the Trunce returns on Monday

    A short classic if ever there was one 4.25 miles 550 ft. from Oxspring playing field SE272 012. Includes three river crossings [IMG] remember this Photos
    Mr Plumb am I correct in thinking it's in it's 30 year?

    40 yrs i believe,think i will try and do all nine this year remember doing it when i was a 15/16 year old nip in 24.43 minutes.

    Yay! Fantastic races these. I'm furious that I'll be missing the first because of work, but I'll be aiming to get to the rest of them.

    Unfortunately unable to make Monday as Mrs Mud working nights so i will be getting the mudlets ready for bed :-(

    Only 10 years out Ian.
    Started in 1968, by Gordon Davies, as a training run for Stocksbridge Steel football team.
    Gordon passed it on in 1992 to lucky little old me.

    And yes to footpath runner, 5 races will earn you a T shirt being designed by the pupils at Penistone Grammar School.

    I went round the course last Saturday, day before Edale Skyline, and cleared some debris from the route.
    Forecast sounds good, so, see you all tonight.

    Thanks to all participants in tonights record breaking Trunce.
    Perfect weather for running, a tad on the cold side for recording.
    Counting seniors and juniors, over 250 runners for the inaugral run of the 2007series.

    Is the river up to last years high point with rope for a safer crossing? Do you remember those pics
