    Which Inov8 ??

I'm hoping that I can benefit from someone's experience here ....

Sunday's Passing Clouds race convinced me that I need new shoes, I'm currently running in Wave Harriers, but they're just not doing it for me - they're not a brilliant fit and I think the grip is very lacking. So I'd like a pair of Inov8, but I'm not sure which to go for. The problem is that I have a broad forefoot, my roadshoes have been Asics 2100 series (whatever model) in 8.5/2E and these are fine, however I'm not sure that a particular "wide fit" fell shoe is made by Inov8.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Take a look on the searches, there are a gazillion posts on this.

Facepalm aside, for my five penneth I'd suggest taking a look at the wider (ultra) fit Walshes, specifically made for hobbits like me. http://www.peteblandsports.co.uk/pro...me.htm?brand=1

Thanks gentlemen! I should be up in the lakes next Wednesday (day off, yay!), so I might stop by Pete Blands and see how they fit. I had a quick look at the Inov8 website and nothing obvious leapt off the page at me .... the trouble is, I want something grippy and relatively low, not a trail shoe. All the Inov8's that seemed to be suitable for me seemed to be in the trail category.

p.s. I bet I wasn't the only one who fell on his arse on Sunday. It was pretty muddy (and mucky).

Pete Blands also stock Inov8 so you can compare fit and grip.

Inov8 do a wider "comfort" fit in a few models including, I think, an orienteering shoe and definitely my favourite Flyrocs. Flyrocs have a longer lasting non-sticky sole so won't be the best for grip on rock, but they are terrific on mud, wet grass, scree etc. MUCH better than the dismal Roclites, which are designed to collect as many small stones as possible jammed into the small spaces in their soles, especially the fascia bands. Thank goodness, Flyrocs are one of the few Inov8 models to be without this design disaster.
    Begin afresh, afresh, afresh.

Good advice. Try on everything you can at PB's, well apart from the clompy horrible Flyrocs!

I will, it's all relative to how interested I can keep the missus, but I'll try on everything I can!

you may want to try the inov8 mudclaw 272, they are broader and the grip is second to none
