Thanks very much to the clayton lads for organising a cracking event.

Has emi had a fall? its a bloody killer that race, I slithered up the big end like a worm... very painful.
    What a turn out eh.
Good to see Jamie, stan and other forumites who I dont know names yet.

Anyone lose a blue and white bandana, I picked one up near checkpoint 5?
I also saw a penguin cuddly toy later on, but couldn't bend down to grab it, too many people pushing my back.
Anyone who runs the tour deserves a bloody t-shirt eh.
    well done everyone.

Well done mate, didn't catch you at the finish.
Emi came unstuck on a stile i think, knackered her race up.
I think i got your cramp mate, never normally suffer with it but did today.
Ran out of ibuleve gel too, bummer.

Well done to everyone who got round & to those who went quicker than last year, some good times I reckon. Hope you're ok Em?

I am sat with an icepack on my calf following a misshap somewhere between checkpoint 1 & 2. It just got steadily worse til I couldn't run on it at all. Nearly kept going coz I figured there wasn't much running in the 2nd half anyway, but was struggling to walk by then too.

Hey ho, guess i'll be back next year

well I'm bloody glad its over to be honest.
Perhaps training might help for the future.
Think Em is going to be ok, thou her legs seems more black and blue than skin coloured it really is bad. Am amazed she got from checkpoint 4 to 5 at all.Thou she's gutted she had to pull out.

Looking forward to sitting in the bath with a beer.

Oh yes, THE CRAMP, (came on at checkpoint5, could of been that freezing breeze) almost spoilt my race, the gel seemed to ease it a little, but I'm seriously thinking of seeing a dietician before my next long race, hope fully 3 peaks.
Either that, or I'm gonna stick to shorter races, its too painful and really knocks me back.
Lets hope its not too serious with Emi.
Legs coming too abit now, gonna watch tv all night long. Zzz
