Yep, that won't be the main problem really I don't think.

The strong wind that is here at the minute will make it very tough. I was out walking the dogs this morning and it was bloody hard trying to walk into the wind!!

Not sure how long the wind is staying for!

If conditions are not overly adverse I am hoping to be on the climb up to Spence moor trying out my on loan Nikon D300 seeing as my calf is stuffed and I will not be racing over at Bingley.

    Re: Full Tour of Pendle

Gradually recovering from my adductor strain and managed almost an hour's slow run last night. My current aim is to come along, as I've pre-entered anyway. Depending on how it feels over the next 24-36 hours, I'll start at gentle jog pace, walk a bit, ease off, and then retire at an appropriate place. (Stagger would probably comment that that's indistinguishable from my normal race strategy.) I'd be delighted to get to CP4 relatively intact.
The one good thing about Pendle is that you're never much more than 3 miles from your car (although admittedly there's probably a big hill in the way.) That means it's not quite as bad as many races if a niggle does flare up.

That is what happened to me the other week. Went arse over tit right at the bottom of hill which is the 2nd of the big 3 on the latter half of the tour (CP7).

I had to laugh, couldn't have happened at a worse place for getting back to Barley, a very nice hobble back to the car

Hmm, that probably IS one of the worst places to have to bale out.
Why did you have to laugh though? Weeping like a child would be the response of any normal person.
