Well I laughed, because I knew it was the worst place to get caught out, and there was nothing I could do about it besides crack on back to the car. Just treated it as a mini-test.

As I was limping back up the climb, I still wanted to get to the top before some other runners that were heading down to start the climb hehe

I was lucky to have delayed injury pain though, it didn't feel all that bad until I got home, then I was like oh crap! And I'm still in some pain today, yay

Can your brain be capable of delaying some pain or feeling or reducing the effect until you get yourself out of a threatening situation?

Do you think the ground might be soft enough to take a stud?

Cheers. I'll check the Inov-8 listing for those.

Apparently, they do them at 285g, 330g, with tungsten tips, or in goretex.

I can see myself missing a bloody checkpoint: not for the clag just cos there's too many of the b* ggers.

11 in 17 miles? Round one hill?

    I'm sure it's all well-justified ....
