Hiya swoop, just been stoooooopid busy at wuk and got a couple of IM races this year so fell running is off the agenda for the moment!

Went running up Whernside today, when the farmer at Bruntscar (bottom of the descent) stopped me for a chat. Apparently a lot of runners are cutting the corner from the ridge onto the main path, and the faint trod parallel to the path is now becoming a very visible scar. Looking up at the hill, they certainly look a mess, and the farmers not happy.

Presumably everybody will have to follow the flags on the race, which will follow the main path, so what's the point of reccying short cuts and upsetting the local land owner?

I've looked at the web site and it says this...

you need to substitute your entry please either

1. Ask your substitute to register with the SPORTident Online Entries System at https://www.sportident.co.uk/entries/login/login.php and ask the substitute to tell you their SPORTIdent Entries ID that is emailed to them when they register. Go to the 'Update Your Entry' link https://www.sportident.co.uk/entries/event.php?event_id=101 and transfer your entry. Your substitute is then able to update the entry, specifying the correct club name and the qualifying races. Your fee will not be refunded but your substitute does not have to pay again.

errrr how do I get a substitute??? DOES ANYONE WANT TO BE MY SUBSTITUTE??

I'm not doing it any more either Emmilou. I found the exchange really easy. The person who wanted my place registered with SportIdent & got their SI number. After that it was a piece of cake to transfer the place.

Mrs M e mailed 3peaksentries yesterday after she was injured. Bryan arranged for someone on the waiting list to email his sportident details. Mrs M then transfered the entry.

The deadline for substitutions has extended.
