How good was that ! It's my local hill and I love running round it . I think newport Running club's generosity is the reason why the numbers swelled to over 160 this year . No tshirts but great spread of food afterwards and a bottle of "Wrekin Wrecker" beer for all runners . Nice touch .

I'm U/A , but if I had the time to join a running club it would be that one .

I'm still c-cold we marshalled in the woods - and then we made our way up to help out at the trig point, which was in turn rainy, misty, rainy and then very windy. You lot all seemed to be smiling, perhaps through the pain.
Glad you enjoyed the Wrekin, and you'll all be made welcome down at Newport RC. I only joined myself in the Summer and they are a friendly bunch.

What a brilliant race, the route is great with a little bit of everything. The rain made some of the descents pretty slippy but good fun! Strangely i enjoyed the climb up the gaoty to the summit.
Thanks to all the marshalls and for the ale, enjoying mine now having just annihalated a curry!!

Wow, a great run, my first post as my dp is sick to death of my running talk and I need to vent!. The wrecker was great, fab marshalls, and excellent organisation. The beer didn't last before 4pm! I had a wise lady tell me recently, after after passing me on a particularly diffucult climb........never let anyone tell you Shropshire is flat!

This was my first fell race and it was fantastic!! Never run such a tough 8 miles.

Big thanks to all the marshalls and Newport for organising it - unfortunately I was so slow by the time I had finished they had run out of beer - hope you all enjoyed it
