I havent managed all of it yet! did half of the route before it got too dark & misty yesterday.
I was going to mention Peter Douglas' excellent video of the scree descent again Pete Douglas Vid

Really looking forward to this next weekend, not raced since Feb in Long Mynd valleys, due to injury, family commitments and a load of other stuff. Will be great just to get out and get muddy and knackered.
Anyone else doing it?
see ya up there, I'll be marshalling again somewhere. Must remember to bring enough warm and dry clothing this year Done the wrekin a bit to death recently. Loads and loads of fallen leaves covering things, as you might expect - but it's not too muddy so should be a good 'un.
I'll be doing it again this year. Not done much running in the last few weeks and we're out late the night before so not expecting too much in the way of a fast time.
Great race with all different sorts of terrain.
yep i should be there... hopefully...
just hope the weather is calm... i can cope with pretty much everything except wind
Results now up here

Great race and knocked 6 mins off last years time, same position though??
Thanks to all marshalls and Newport Running Club.
i ended up marshalling and helping at the finish today. Everyone seemed to finish with a smile... or a close approximation .
pics of you all on Al Tye's site http://www.fellrunningpictures.co.uk/
Excellent race today: a tough route but in really benign conditions (although I wouldn't have been wanting to stand at the top marshalling for an hour and some). Thoroughly enjoyed myself. Thanks to all involved.
Jim
yeah I was also 6 mins quicker than last year.....must be due to course change....dunno how though as it' the same length and same terrain, I think ?
