    Re: New Balance MT101

I think the MT 101 are brilliant and partner well with the XTalon 212 (similar feel, weight and drop) I live in the lakes and train in the NBs, race in the Talons and road run in Kinvara's. All three feel similar.
My only complaint: the heel can lift out of the soft heel cup of the 101s if you are a bit slack with lacing as I found to my chagrin. On descending Ingleborough with about a mile or so to go I went through a soft bit and like a d******d tried to run it back on by running down hill full on, on the outside of my foot- guess what happened? Yes! and it took me 45 minutes to get to the Hill Inn in order to administer several pints of first aid! 10 weeks later and my ankle is still not right. The moral of the story? It is a great shoe but you are 52 years of age you daft old fool!

    Re: New Balance MT101

Looks like the MT101 is being discontinued because the New Balance believe the new MT110 is a superior shoe apparently. But rumour has it the MT110 won't be getting a UK release (according to Eavsey and the staff of Accelerate.

    Where does that leave us?!!

    Re: New Balance MT101

While I'm enjoying the new MT110s, I just picked up another two pairs of the US version of the MT101 for when it's not muddy enough to wear my UK version of the MT101. All in all, the MT1XX line is great. I was skeptical that I'd be able to comfortably run in the MT110 with its low heel-to-toe drop, but I've been pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the MT!10 is. Had a smashing trail run in them today!

They sound like great shoes Trail Goat but some of us over here have heard pretty creditable rumours the MT110 won't be given a UK release.

Do you know if this is true? If it is I'll be buying a couple of pairs of the 101s!
