    Re: compression syndrome?

    AH_HAH!

Different physio this time. He could also get my ankle to hurt with ease and thinks that what has happened is that the ligament has snapped at some stage and instead of the two ends rejoining at the break, the broken end has curled back into the ankle joint. This means that the end of the 'shin' bone floats above the ankle and has some forward/backward motion that it shouldn't.

Sounds like an op, but still doing the physio anyway: balance on damaged leg on balance board then tilt the board forwards, backwards and side to side, 30 sec bursts for half an hour. weekly appointments too.

    Re: compression syndrome?

3 appointments on and the physio seems to be doing the trick.

Much less pain, much more sure footed, possibility that the operation will not have to be done now. How happy am I.

Graduating to lower limb rehab class for 6 weeks.
