I had a call with Brian Covell yesterday.
There have been 88 successful BG completions during 2010 in terms of those attempts registered with him.
I'll post more details, and some data, in due course when I have full details from him.

The only one who can tell you "You can't" is you. And you don't have to listen.
And yes, that is a record year.

Must be getting easier...
Mick 'The Mullet' Robinson, reminded me today that he was doing it. Did I hear him correctly that he started at mid-day?

Do we know how many attempts there were altogether?

OK, here is some data.
88 completions registered for membership of the BG Club.
81 went clockwise and 7 went anti-clockwise.
The first success was on 1 May and the last on 25 September.
Only 19 of the successes were recorded between 3 July and 25 September. If I recall the weather was much less kind from July onwards.
Times recorded ranged from 17.23 up to 23.56 (2).

The 18.45 start time includes the Dark Peak Longest Day Train. The figure for 19.00 includes the Pudsey & Bramley mass attempt.
Notable items are:
Chris Near's 17.23 round
Richard Mellon's 17.38 round
Mark Richards' 50 at 50 as a first round in 23.56
and the fact that on 19 June two men by the name of Peter Murphy completed the round, one going clockwise, the other anti-clockwise. I wonder if they met on Sca Fell?
