    Isle of Wight Fell Series

Just signed up to do the 13 mile Wroxall round in September and will be heading over to the Island on Saturday 22nd and kipping in Ventnor. Anyone done this race before? What's it like and what shoes should I wear? If anyone is running this year and fancies a beer (and I mean A beer) the night before drop me a mail. Cheers, downsman.

I'll be there for all three races (staying in Ventnor) . I posted a thread a few weeks ago about this and got some useful info. The Wroxhall is, apparently, more like a trail race and similar to some routes in the White Peak. It'll probably be quite tough after the first two races. See you there.
    I rely upon my luck!

I'm hoping to be there. Probably won't be doing all three races as I may be doing something else on the Sunday and not sure my legs can cope with events so close to each other .

I'm tempted too Anyone have any idea what's the best idea for accommodation - b&b, camping, cardboard box?

    Hello all

Me and my running mate have booked a nice comfy BnB and are staying over until Monday. It is not far from the start and we thought a bit of comfort would be nice after the pain. There is free camping (check the Ryde Harriers site), I believe. Ventnor is well set up with accommodation. It should be a nice few days by the sea.

    Cheers

Looks quite likely I'll make a long weekend of it with the missus in tow.
