Re: Chevin Chase -Boxing Day 2

Thanks for the tipoff; I've been watching the site for the last three weeks, waiting for entries to open!
I've just entered online. It'll be the 20th time I've done the race...

    You and me both TF!!

But only my 3rd time and first this millenium as it's a rare occasion that I am in Leeds on Boxing Day!! It's a scary thought racing against c800 as opposed to the <40 at Baildon Carnival & Carr Lane so definitely no top10 position this time!!

I'll get my entry in the post over the weekend. I've done it a fair few times myself. Although I decided to spectate last year and missed out on that lovely pink tee shirt.

Notice you have done this since the late '80s. Do you happen to know whether results are available for '88 and '89. I did it in one of those years (when the course was different from the present one) and then missed for about 12 years. I would love to know what my time was then and how it compared to other runners.
Hope the queues at the fences on the return are shorter this year!!

Just picked up this thread again and realise that I never answered Hopalong. How very rude of me, although I can't really help. I don't know of any results available for those early years. I don't think I ever knew my own placings; I just have my times jotted in an ancient notebook.
What was the old course? If it was used in the late 80s I must have run it, but I can't remember it at all.
