Didn't get to meet you guys - sorry.

Sort of enjoyed my 2nd ever road race but the lapped course I found abit difficult to deal with mentally!! Also keeping a steady pace all the way round and not have to jump over things or wade through bogs was a bit odd

Set a target of sub 1:30 so was pleased with 1:19 - rain and wind not exactly on our side today but not as bad as some of the conditions I've run in!!

    Well done, Emmilou!

I don't know my time or position but I think I did ok. I found it very hard as fell running doesn't really prepare you for this sort of stuff. I thought it was a really good route and well organised.

The race does not always go to the swift, but to the ones who keep running

You've got a 30 year road running background?? Think of a better excuse.

Too right! I've hated the few road races I've done this year - it's like I've never run a road race before. Roll on when I get back to the fells!

    Oh.

I should be showing a bit of empathy then?

    I don't think so.

You beat my time of 60.00 from 1994 Chris. I wonder if it is still the same course?

    Well done all of you.
