Yep. June Fellrunner could carry a flyer I guess (deadline for next fellrunner submission was 10th May so results couldn't be in the main body of the mag).

From memory all votes have to be in by the 8th June and I guess Tony would've been collating or bundling up results as they came in. So given its obvious interest and attention...one presumes about mid-June via the Web-site too.

Any committee member(s) involved in the counting etc able to give a view?

I have heard rumour that the return has been very good (2000 in the first week?) and that Tony has saved all returns un-opened. I believe that he plans to open and count them together with other persons/witnesses present. From conversations I had with people at Jura and Duddon I feel very reassured that the committee have acted throughout with the best intentions.

    Thanks to all involved.

The counting should surely be done (or at least witnessed) by persons who are impartial. After seeing the ballot paper I have no confidence that the FRA committee are...

And there is no reason for them to be. After all, that is what they are there for, to form a view and then act on it for the best interests of fell running in general. In this situation, they have agreed that a ballot is needed and they were entitled to put their view (but not in a manner to lead the vote).
