    Thanks Stolly - was going to ask which path you took down from Sty Head, I think the left is by far more pleasant , and more runnable.
    Never noticed a path up to seathwaite before left of the valley - I have trotted down the road from seatoller before - will have to check that out.

    Ha be careful reading too much into our lines on that day and there was still a shed load of snow about - eg our roundabout line across the top just before Honister

    If it's a trace from Easter Saturday we went down the 'valley route' into Wasdale but the LDWA stipulate the main tourist route traversing under Gable for the challenge event

    This is the Garmin record for the event in 2012 when Stolly and I ran with Stolly Junior Senior and her partner. It shows the official route if that's any help (apart from when I nipped off the track to answer the call of nature).
